Woman's blue denim jeans. Natural waist with narrow waistband and self-fabric belt loops. Straight legs. Zipper and button closure in front, with button stamped "CALVIN / KLEIN." One slit pocket in front. Cloth label sewn on back below waistband: "Calvin Klein." Cloth label sewn inside waistband has care instructions. Ownership and History | Belonged to Laura Elliman Patrick (1934-2012) of Staten Island, daughter of Natalie Stirn and Arthur Benbow Elliman. Laura Patrick graduated from Connecticut College with a degree in economics, and worked at Wagner College in the 1970s as secretary to the president. She was an active community volunteer, serving for many years on the Board of Directors of the Staten Island Historical Society. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Visiting Nurse Association of Staten Island, joining the organization in 1963, and in 2009 they honored her for her many years of service. |
