Description Woman's 1-piece evening dress of multicolored pastel lace and powder pink tulle. Lace bodice has pointed peplum and thin straps. Full-length gathered skirt has multiple layers of draped pink tulle over synthetic lining. Side zipper closure. Cloth label at waist: "Ceil Chapman." Designer Ceil Chapman was born on Staten Island and worked on Seventh Avenue, New York City in the 1940s and 1950s.

Acquisition Gift of Margaret K. Porazzi
Ownership and History This dress was worn by the donor, Margaret K. (Kavanagh) Porazzi of Staten Island, who was PTA president of St. Joseph Hill Academy in the 1950s. Mrs. Porazzi was honored as a Staten Island Advance Woman of Achievement in 1987. She died February 4, 1998.
