Description |
Richmond County Civil War bond made out to Mary D. Meeker, signed by county treasurer Peter Wandel and board of supervisors chairman Thomas Child. It is a preprinted certificate with name, amount, bond number, and signatures filled in by hand, and red and green paper seals of Richmond County affixed. The certificate has been adhered to a cardboard mount, making the reverse inaccessible for study, but printed words on the back of the document are faintly visible through the front. The document (excluding mount) measures 12.25 inches high x 16 inches wide. (Keyword: United States, New York) |
