Description Folding fan. Glazed white paper leaf has three chromolithographed illustrations of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition; the illustrations are separated by gold scrolls. Each illustration shows a large building by a lake filled with sailboats and gondolas. The illustration at left has caption "AGRICULTURE." The illustration in the center has caption "MACHINERY." The illustration at right is the Manufactures and Liberal Arts Building. Printed inscription at lower edge: "COPYRIGHT 1892 / WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION FAN / BY JOHN W. GREEN". The reverse side of the leaf is pale blue. Wood sticks. Metal loop attached at rivet. Probably made in the United States.
