Ownership and History |
Michael J. Halloran was Chief of the Edgewater Fire Department and President of the Veteran Fireman's Association. He was also a charter member of the Staten Island Lodge of Elks and served briefly as postmaster of Stapleton, Staten Island before his death on December 5, 1915 at age 49. The Edgewater Fire Department was formed in the 1870s. The volunteer firefighters of its various companies protected communities near the east shore of Staten Island. |
